Q: What exactly is a pawn ?
A: When a customer brings in an item, B/Back assesses the item for its condition and salability, as well how much money the customer may need for the item. B/Back will offer the customer an amount for the item as collateral on a LOAN. This is what is commonly known as a “Pawn” or in England, a “Pledge”.
Q: Do I need to bring any identification with me ?
A: B/back requires at least 2 pieces of government issued photo ID for any pawn transaction. As well, all transactions are for those 18 and over.
Q: Does my item go on sale when I pawn it at B/Back ?
A: Absolutely not! B/Back offers a safe and secure cash loan system. All items while under pawn are kept in our discreet and secure facilities, where it will wait safely for you to come and pick it up.
Q: What can I bring in to get a loan ?
A: At B/Back, one of our mottos is “No item too big or too small”, from jewellery and diamonds, to hi definiton televisions. From cordless drills to Sports memorabilia, we take it all and much much more.
Q: How do I know an item is not stolen?
A: B/Back sends information of all items left in the store to the London Police Department on a daily basis. Less than one tenth of one percent of items brought to B/Back are of a suspicious nature.
Q: Where should I look for my items?
A: Unfortunately a lot of stolen items end up being sold on the streets, in second hand stores, or even in established jewelry shops and re-sellers. Also its good to search popular resale websites such as kijiji or craigslist.
